Past Village Events

In 2022 we celebrated the Queen’s platinum jubilee with a free party event held in the Hall.

In July the advent of the community kitchen a free meal initiative once a week for the community.

In December the community gift swap and quiz evening.

Photos of these are below.

Every two years the dreadful village pantomime rears its ugly head. The Combe-themed spectaculars attract crowds from across the land. The hall can be hired for regular rehearsals as well as the main events.

In 2020, the hall committee have been organising online activities for villagers and parishioners. Events have included play readings, quizzes, film discussion nights and a Bake Off. More of these events will be held in the coming months until it is possible to meet in person again.

Following the success of the Gittisham Bash in 2019, the committee plan to hold another big party on Saturday 26th June 2021. The previous bash included a duck race, a cooking demonstration given by chefs from The Pig at Combe hotel, a village walk led by two of our most knowledgeable residents, cake and tea in the hall and Bill’s boules tournament. This culminated in an evening of music, food and very energetic dancing.
