School admission authorities are required by the School Admissions Code to consult on changes to admission arrangements. Devon is consulting on arrangements up to 1 March 2013 with:
Primary, infant, junior and secondary schools in the Devon Local Authority area
County Councillors
Early years settings
Neighbouring local authorities
School Organisation, Capital and Admissions Group
Church of England and Roman Catholic Diocesan Directors of Education
District and Town Councils in Devon
Members of Parliament for Devon
Local community groups
The admission arrangements proposed by the Local Authority as co-ordinating authority and admissions authority for community and voluntary controlled schools, together with the arrangements for voluntary aided, foundation and academy schools can be viewed at www.devon.gov.uk/admissionarrangements. As part of the consultation, we would like to hear the views of as many interested parties as possible. This includes parents of children through schools and early years settings – the co-operation of any school, setting or council to mention the consultation in newsletters would be much appreciated.
If you have any queries or comments, including suggestions for amendment, please respond in writing to
