Members of Gittisham Parish Council

You are hereby summoned to attend the August Parish Council Meeting to be held in Gittisham Village Hall on Wednesday 4th August 2021 commencing at 7.30pm to discuss items on the Agenda and to make resolutions as appropriate.

All attending are required to bring their own hand sanitiser, wear a face mask, and respect the 2m social distancing guidelines.

Prior to the start of the meeting a period of 15 minutes is allowed to permit any resident to bring appropriate matters to the notice of the Council.  Please contact the clerk if you would like to do this, preferably by email in advance of the meeting, with a question you wish to be raised with Councillors on your behalf.

  2. To confirm the Minutes of the meeting held on 7th July 2021
  3. To receive the Beat Manager’s report
  4. To receive declarations of interest
  5. To consider actions from last meeting not otherwise on the agenda
  6. To receive reports from County Council and District Council representatives
  7. To consider the rollout of superfast broadband, and a presentation by Airband
  8. To consider the following planning applications:
    • 21/1165/FUL Bakery Cottage Gittisham EX14 3AF Single storey rear extension and internal alterations. Creation of courtyard and parking bay with EV charging point and erection of maximum 1.8m wall/fence. Alteration of workshop/store to form garden room. (amended plans)
    • 21/1166/LBC Bakery Cottage Gittisham EX14 3AF Single storey rear extension and internal alterations. Creation of courtyard and parking bay with EV charging point and erection of maximum 1.8m wall/fence. Alteration of workshop/store to form garden room (amended plans)
    • 21/1756/FUL Land Adjoining Combe Garden Centre Gittisham Erection of a storage building on land adjacent to Coombe Garden Centre for the storage of stock
  9. To receive reports from councillors on areas of responsibility and actions since the last meeting:
    • To note the latest planning decision notices (Cllr Orchard)
    • To receive an update on highways (Cllr Orchard)
    • To consider plans for expenditure in the parish under the Community Infrastructure Levy and S106 (Cllr Orchard)
    • To receive an update on public transport (Cllr Orchard)
    • To consider the purchase of a defibrillator for the Hayne Farm development (Cllr Twist)
    • To consider climate change measures within the parish (Cllr Twist)
    • To consider parish council support for scam awareness and security (Cllr Twist)
    • To consider limited residential development in the parish (Cllr Valentine)
    • To consider the parish emergency plan (Cllr Valentine / Cllr Orchard)
    • To consider the refurbishment and maintenance of the village play area (Cllr Walker)
    • To consider work to be carried out by the lengthsman to maintain drains and ditches in the parish (Cllr Walker)
