ORDER 2021
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC & PARKING
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.
From WEDNESDAY 24 FEBRUARY 2021
for a maximum of 18 months
Anticipated Finish FRIDAY 5 MARCH 2021
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed or wait on the sections of Affected
Roads.
Roads affected –
HAYNE LANE, GITTISHAM
The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via – HAYNE LANE, DEVONSHIRE
ROAD, HEATHPARK WAY, A375, BEECH WALK, HAYNE LANE AND VICE VERSA
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable –
DEVON HIGHWAYS – SURFACING AND ASSOCIATED WORKS

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL hereby give NOTICE that:
On TUESDAY 9 FEBRUARY 2021
for a maximum of 5 days
Anticipated Finish TUESDAY 9 FEBRUARY 2021
Between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.
Roads affected –
LANE TO CATHAYES FARM, GITTISHAM , PARSONAGE LANE – JUNCTION OF
ROAD PAST WESTGATE HILL
The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via – ROAD FROM MAIN ROAD TO
EVELEIGH FARM, ROAD FROM GITTISHAM CROSS TO BEECH WALK CROSS, ROAD
FROM BEECH WALK CROSS TO GITTISHAM HILL, ROAD PAST GITTISHAM HILL,
ROAD FROM CHINEWAY HEAD TO THE HARE AND HOUNDS, ROAD PAST
WESTGATE HILL AND VICE VERSA.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable –

Embankment works on Hayne Lane will be taking place 12th October – 5th November 2020. Diversionary route will be in operation.

NOTICE OF PARISH COUNCIL VACANCY

A vacancy has arisen on Gittisham Parish Council for a Parish Councillor (Village ward).  The vacancy will be filled by co-option, rather than an election.

Interested parties should contact the parish clerk for further information, and be prepared to submit a short paragraph on their suitability before 23.59 on 25th October.

The play area has reopened, with some guidance in place for safe use:

• Only 1 family per item of equipment at a time
• Use hand sanitiser before you enter to use the playground, and wash your hands after you have left
• Maintain physical / social distancing at all times
• Please do not use these facilities if you feel unwell or have Covid-19 symptoms
• Please dispose of your rubbish in the bin provided or take it home with you
• Please follow the latest government guidance regarding Covid-19 and group gatherings, and do not breach them in this facility.

The parish council is waiting for East Devon District Council to issue advice as to when and how it can open the play area safely.

From 15th June, the 9 and 4 buses will serve the parish once again on a revised timetable – including a stop outside Combe Garden Centre.  According to Stagecoach, you will notice some changes on board the buses to enable social distancing measures to be observed. To allow this to take place safely, some of the seats will be blocked off to allow you to sit at least 2 metres away from other passengers.  Face coverings must be worn.
